Alec Baldwin is my favorite asshole. Especially now that he is older and fatter than in his "Notting Hill" days. Those blue eyes! The gray hair! That sly grin! If you add the 10 pounds on his hips from whatever caloric catastrophe spent 10 seconds on his lips, he's simply irresistible.
As his career continues to flourish (recent projects include box-office fave "It's Complicated" and NBC's "30 Rock"), Mr. Baldwin seems to be the exception to Hollywood's favoritism of emaciated spring chickens. Of course, being male, he is impervious to such demands.
Oh, society.
But all is not well in the Baldwinner's circle. He apparently threatened suicide earlier this week and was rushed to the hospital after his daughter, Ireland Baldwin, called 911.
Hopefully this was a publicity stunt gone awry and Mr. Baldwin is not, in fact, a danger to himself or others.
